Hypothetical Questions for Couples
What would you do with a free year? Which decade would you live in? Hypothetical questions are a playful way to discover how your partner thinks - their priorities, their sense of humor and what they would never give up. They are easy to answer because there is no pressure to be realistic.
Many questions here use the Would You Rather format: two options, both tempting, and you each pick one. Start a room to pick on two phones at the same time and reveal together, or just read them out loud. Expect long debates over questions that seemed simple. Every scenario is light and clean.

What are good hypothetical questions for couples?
Try "If we could live anywhere for a year, where would we go?" or "Would you rather know the future or change the past?" Good hypotheticals have no obvious right answer.
Why are hypothetical questions useful?
They reveal values and personality in a playful way, without the pressure of real decisions.
How do we play the Would You Rather version?
Each of you picks one of two options without seeing the other's choice, then you reveal together and explain your reasoning.
Are these questions good for road trips?
Yes. They are perfect for long drives because each question can spark a long conversation.
